Frequently Asked Questions of LSR

Q: Are you an Aids dependent league?
A: No. Some of our members feel the need to use aids and we encourage them to if needed. While most of our drivers do not use aids we see no reason to not allow their use. If it makes the racing better for some and all members are having FUN then what does it hurt? After all, it's not like we are getting paid to do this.

Q: Why do you charge a fee?
A: First, if you sign up before Feb. 15, 08 there is no fee due until Jan. 09. We will accept donations of course, but not charge any fees. Second, most folks who pay to play ensure that they race with respect and do their best to keep themselves and others in line. Lets be honest here, who wants to race in an atmosphere like sierra?

Q: Do you profit from any fees you charge?
A: NO. Once you become a member and want to know what our yearly fees are we will be more than happy to show you that. We exist to have FUN and make friends. I know to some that is hard to believe but yes there are folks out there like us. Do not be fooled though. We have rules and those rules are the foundation of the league. Break them and pay the price, just like real life.

Q: What series can I run in?
A: What ever series you want too! Just remember to have fun, be clean and mostly respectful.

Q: What set ups do you use?
A: All series are fixed set up. The set up will depend on the track. Each set up will be posted with the track or as a minimum two weeks prior to race day. Remember, we are a brand new league and still learning ourselves.

Q: Seems like you are hard on drivers who break the rules.
A: That depends on what they do. If they are flaming, cheating, or just being flat out disrespectful then yes, and you will not be in LSR very long! HOWEVER, the game does a good job of policing itself. Our admins have been doing this for 4 plus years and are good at what they do. They are fair and will rarely hand out penalties unless they need too. Read the rules section for more info. You will find it's not much different than any other league.

Q: OK, what's the catch? Membership for free?
A: YES, if you sign up before 15 Feb. 08. No catch! Have fun, be respectful and clean. That is all we ask. Look at it from our stand point. We are a new league and we are looking for good drivers. How else to get you all to come and check us out? Besides, you would be surprised to know, I bet you have raced with most of us an one time or another. Oh, and don't give out any of the passwords, LOL, but I figure that is a no brainier.

Q: I was reading your website and you guys seem pretty honest and open, whats up?
A: What you see is what you get! We have all walks of life in LSR. Three Doctors (PhD's that is), 4 military, 2 guys who own their own business and many many more. We believe a spade is a spade. It goes back to the old saying. "if it looks like nuts and smells like nuts, then it must be nuts!" Those people we get rid of. Everyone here gets along great and we want to keep it that way. Really think about it. You take time away from family to get on a PC and race for a couple of hours. Make sure your having fun doing it! This is a game, enjoy it.

Q:Can I use the server when it is a non race night?
A: Yes, as long as it is only being used by league members. Simply as an Admin. Post what day and times and they will make sure it is up for you. If you plan on inviting NON league members you MUST as permission of the Admin.

Q: Do you use Team speak?
A: Yes, all drivers are required to be on TS prior to Qualifying.
